My Story:
I grew up in Vaughan, Ontario, and from a very early age I was interested in creative work. As a kid, I created YouTube gaming videos and stories with my toy trains and action figures. Today, I have an educational background at OCAD University, and specialize in Adobe programs such as Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator and other Adobe Apps. I also create motion graphics to promote my music. On the side, I make hip hop and pop music that can be found on Spotify and Soundcloud, and I stream and record gaming videos and music related content on my personal Youtube Channel.
I am self taught in most programs.
Although I have a formal education at OCAD University, I acquired knowledge of numerous programs through independent study. During my Grade 11 high school year, I was introduced to Adobe Programs, and I became invested and motivated to learn more about them. I used resources such as YouTube tutorial videos, and eventually I took college courses. However, the bulk of my learning came from constantly exploring and asking, "What if?" Being self taught in this field has trained me to always be curious and has lead me to develop a simplistic style for much of my work. In addition, it has challenged me to not give up and overcome obstacles in my design journey.
I keep up with trends in the design world.
I challenge myself to learn more about design every day, and I keep up with exhibitions such as GRADEX in Toronto. These events gives me the chance to learn more about what is trending and can introduce me to new ways for developing my skills as an artist. In addition, I follow numerous social media accounts accounts, and use Tik Tok regularly to give me inspirations for my art projects.
I see the world differently.
Having been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder from a young age, I have always viewed different aspects of my life in a unique way, including my creative projects. This ability helps me to hyper focus on a specific task that is of interest to me, whether it is album cover design, character art, or other parts of my design practice. I find that it makes a difference in my every day life, and am constantly using it to my advantage to succeed in both my school and personal art projects.
